We are looking for someone to fill our Director of Sales position. A perfect candidate for this position will have excellent communication and people skills. They will be able to effectively serve our customers by providing product and service information; resolving product and service problems if they should occur.

Essential Functions: 

The following functions describe the essential duties of this role. Individuals in this role may not perform all of these duties, or may perform additional, related duties not listed here.

  • Oversee all activities of the sales and marketing team, to include; creation and measurement of performance KPIs, setting strategic direction for the department and working with the leadership team to ensure company objectives are met
  • Lead internal communications on all customer related topics
  • Set annual sales budgets, by salesperson, based on company goals and opportunities in the pipeline
  • Attend key strategic partner meetings, to ensure relationships are moving forward.
  • Lead all contract negotiations and discussions, ensuring that SwineTech is put in a successful position
  • Work with sales team to build accurate and timely forecasts and financial projections, to be shared and finalized with the CFO
  • Meet with all department personnel on a weekly basis to review; pipeline opportunities, current customer activity and challenges being faced and areas for improvement
  • Handle recruitment and performance reviews for all department personnel, to be done on an annual/ as needed basis
  • Work with customer support team to ensure proper execution of the post sale process
  • Work with marketing team members to ensure a unified sales and marketing team
  • Lead all customer discovery activities, in conjunction with the engineering department, ensuring that we are identifying key growth opportunities
  • Represent SwineTech at all relevant National Shows, Meetings and Networking events

Required Experience & Education: 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales management required
  • Experience within the pork or technology sectors preferred, but not required
  • Ability to communicate with C-Suite on high level conversations
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and self-management skills
  • Must be willing to travel up-to 65% of the time. Travel defined as 80% of the time within 6 hours driving and 20% 6-12 hours away.
  • High-level ability to test, troubleshoot, service, and repair automated equipment
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic work schedules and flexible shifts

Software Responsibilities:

  • Code development in C/C++/Python
  • Audio processing algorithm development and testing for squeal detection
  • Development of algorithms leveraging computer vision
  • Implemented communication protocols ranging from i2c to TCP/IP to reliably pass data
  • Developed test harness or scripting to monitor system performance
  • Collaborative development using version management with tools such as GIT
  • Agile project management
  • Work with different IDEs, compilers, and debugger toolchains
  • Not afraid to troubleshoot circuits with multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, etc.
  • Configured wireless radio stacks such as WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.

  • 3 years minimum experience
  • Successfully led development projects and/or teams

SwineTech Inc. is looking for a full-time software engineer to aid in the development of technologies for the pork industry, which includes computer vision. Our expectations are as follows:

Duties:

  • Perform software engineering and computer vision algorithm development on livestock management systems.
  • Perform full life cycle software development in a small team environment.
  • Concept development for audio/vision tracking systems, algorithm development, software engineering and field testing.
  • Software and Algorithm development for computer vision, image processing, machine learning, and data fusion. (80%)
  • Document algorithmic approaches, test results, prepare technical reports, present results, and demonstrate system capabilities to peer review groups, partners, working groups, and sponsors. (20%)

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or other related technical disciplines with 3 years of relevant experience to include a minimum of 1-2 years of prior Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning development experience.
  • Experience in C/C++ software development and OpenCV.
  • Team player with excellent written and oral skills.
  • The ideal candidate will possess initiative, creativity, breadth of knowledge and a desire for continuous learning.

Desired Qualifications:

  • M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with at least 3-5 years of prior Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning development experience.
  • Prior experience developing software for unmanned platforms.
  • Experience in developing near-real-time software for embedded Linux platforms, C/C++, and OpenCV.
  • Exposure to any or all of the following technologies is beneficial: CUDA, GPGPU computing, Caffe, MATLAB, Boost C++ libraries.
  • Familiarity with embedded programming principles and algorithm optimization for resource-constrained platforms.
